Green Chile Chicharrónes Recipe

The real question is, who doesn’t like chicharónes? Some like them golden-brown, some like them a little burned. If you like green chile, you’ll love this combo. Makes for an excellent snack.

The better the green chile, the better this dish will come out. Enjoy!

Green Chile Chicarrónes Recipe


  • 2 cups Pork Chicharrón (cooked)
  • 1 Large Tomato (diced)
  • 1 Clove Garlic (minced)
  • 4 large New Mexico Green Chiles (roasted, peeled, seeded, chopped)
  • 1/2 large Onion (chopped finely)


Cook the tomatoes and the chiles, once cooked liquefy with the clove of garlic, the onion and add water as necessary. After liquefying them, bring to a boil in a saucepan and add the chicharrón, let it boil until the Chicharrón softens. Serve while hot.
Note: If you want more it to be hotter, add more chile
