The New Mexico Film Office Announces “Better Call Saul” Is Filming its Third Season in New in New Mexico
SANTA FE —New Mexico Film Office Director Nick Maniatis announced today that the television series “Better Call Saul”, produced by Sony Pictures Television and starring Bob Odenkirk (“Breaking Bad,” “Fargo”) will be filmed in Albuquerque, NM. “We are thrilled to welcome back award winning ‘Better Call Saul’ for its third season. The film industry provides high-paying, creative jobs to our citizens and many businesses are affected positively by the filming here in Albuquerque,” said Mayor Richard J. Berry The production will employ at least 75-90 New Mexico crew members. “It’s so great to have this incredible production team back for a third season of ‘Better Call Saul,’” said Director Nick Maniatis. “Sony has proven to be an excellent partner with the City of Albuquerque and the State of New Mexico.” “Better Call Saul” season three is executive produced by showrunners Vince Gilligan (“Breaking Bad”) and Peter Gould (“Breaking Bad”), Mark Johnson (“Breaking Bad”), Melissa Bernstein (“Breaking Bad”) and Thomas Schnauz (“Breaking Bad”), and Gennifer Hutchison (“Breaking Bad”). “Better Call Saul,” is a “Breaking Bad” prequel, focusing on the evolution of the popular Saul Goodman character before he became Walter White’s lawyer.
