(June 15, 2016) Stufy’s —Albuquerque, New Mexico—Trying to come up with a good idea for dinner is always a challenge. However, living in the Land of Enchantment makes it a little easier. New Mexico truly has some of the best food in the world (in my humble opinion).
I always drive by Stufy’s on Juan Tabo and think to myself “Jeez that sounds delicious”, and last night we decided on this local favorite for our dinner spot. And let me tell you folks, they did not disappoint. Upon first walking in to Stufy’s, I couldn’t help but be reminded of my childhood when low and behold, there stood a Pac Man machine right you first walk in. How fantastic is that? After that, things went along just fabulously.
The staff was friendly and answered our questions, the food was delicious and very prompt, the prices were fantastic, and the atmosphere was comfortable. I ordered the # 4 stuffed sopaipilla, and it was the perfect size for me – not too big, not too small, and the green chile was extremely flavorful, with just the right amount of kick. They obviously know how to make a fantastic sopaipilla, seeing as it is the main ingredient in their dishes, but boy do they have their recipe perfected. The sopaipilla was slightly crunchy, yet moist, and was the perfect vehicle for the delicious ingredients inside. I can already tell this will be a new favorite of ours for dinner. I can’t wait to try everything else on their menu!
Run, don’t walk, to Stufy’s, you will not be disappointed. I may even meet you there for a friendly game of Pac Man.
