(May 5, 2016)—Taos, New Mexico—On Sunday, June 5th, Shawn Colvin and Steve Earle will take the stage and debut tracks from their forthcoming album, “Colvin & Earle” (release date: June 10), at Music on the Mesa at Taos Mesa Brewing. The album is the duo’s first collaborative effort, and their performance at the Music on the Mesa three-day festival is their only tour date in New Mexico.
Stephen Plyler, Music on the Mesa’s executive producer, says, “We are elated that our festival is the chosen New Mexico exclusive performance for these two legends, who will debut their new songs at Music on the Mesa. It’s a rare occasion when two Grammy winners come together for this type of effort. We are thrilled to play this small part in the release of the new album. This is an amazing opportunity for Music on the Mesa patrons.”
In addition to Colvin and Earle, the Music on the Mesa festival lineup features The Old 97’s, Elephant Revival, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Band of Heathens, The Mastersons, Robyn Ludwick, Grace Askew, Sammy Brue, The Far West, Last to Know, The Honey Cutters, The Howlin’ Brothers, Adia Victoria, Reviva, Kelley Mickwee, The Giving Tree Band, Samantha Crain, Wayne Hancock “The Train”, Mike + Ruthy Band, Boris McCutcheon and the Salt Licks, and more to be announced.
